Here we have a genuine factory built Ford Cortina 3.0 GLS 4 speed manual. This is a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid and now fully UK Registered. Its a very solid original example and a rare model not available here. It starts runs and drives but will need a bit recommissioning

Body - South African built Cortina Mk5 shell with the 5 link rear end for better stability. The 3.0s also had a different slam panel so the radiator can sit further forward. Very original shell which has never been welded. Paint in the main looks very original. Car is really solid from front to back. Paintwork is presentable. Its not a show winner and has a few age related marks, but a very very tidy original old car. Evidence of a minor rear bump at some stage as rear bumper is twisted. We have straightened it up a bit but really needs replaced

Mechanics - Good quiet engine which starts no problem. Brakes. clutch and gearbox all feel fine. Bit of a whine from power steering pump. Will need a good checkover and service as we dont have any history on it. Carb may need adjusted to suit our climate

Interior - All original interior which is in good order. Seats are decent. Good headlining and dashtop. Doorcards have speakers in them.

Wheels - Refurbished Dart Board style wheels with 175/70/13 tyres.
