Ford Cortina MK3 Pickup. Genuine Ford built truck from South Africa which has now been UK registered. Its a very solid truck which only needs a few minor items sorting out. We have the UK V5 here.

 

Body - Genuine Ford built MK3 pickup. These pickups were not available here and are very rare with probably less than 20 in the UK. The body is very solid with no signs of any welding being done or needed. Its nice and straight with no signs of filler. Paintwork is fine. Its no show winner, but perfectly useable. Overall a very straight solid original body.

 

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow which is very quiet. Choke is not connected as it came from a hot climate so this will need looking at. Bit of a flatspot when cold but ok when warm. the choke will fix this. Lots of receipts with the pick up for new parts. New shocks, bushes, brakes and so on. Still has its original 4 speed box and running gear.

 

Interior - Original bench seat. retrimmed door cards. Good dash top, carpet and headlining. Quite a tidy truck inside. Indicator switch has fallen apart so this will need replaced. 

 

Wheels - Lotus steels with mk3 Cortina hubcaps. Great looking period accessory.
