1968 Ford Escort Mk1 Deluxe Restoration Project. This car is a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Its very original, unmolested and doesnt look to have ever had any welding on it. Theres no underseal underneath so you can see exactly what it needs which is not major. Its an early compression strut model and a heavy duty strengthened shell. We have all the paperwork to UK register it but it will need to be running before DVLA will issue a reg number.

Body - Heavy duty shell strengthened inner wings, chassis skids, under wing strengtheners. Similar to a type 49 shell but without tramp bar brackets or studs in boot floor. Early compression strut model rather than anti roll bar. Good original and solid inner wings, sills, arches, boot floors, spare wheel wells. Will need minor repairs on front floors, the side of one chassis leg will need a rep[air on the swan neck. Bottoms of wings at front look to have been cut very slightly for some reason. Little bit of filler on back panel around where number plate would go but otherwise shell looks very strong and original. Its not been botched, plated or undersealed so its a good starting point. Paintwork will need redone as part of the restoration. Dent on the rear part of O/s Sill. Looks like its been jacked up in the wrong place. Will need pulled out.

Interior - Dashtop is there and front and back seats. No carpet or door cards and both door windows are missing. Everything inside would either need retrimmed. repaired or replaced.

Mechanics - 1300 engine in it which is not currently running. Will need wired up and piped up. Propshaft missing. No exhaust

Wheels - Original 12" steels with poor tyres.
