1985 Ford Escort XR3i 5 Speed model. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. NOVA declaration done. Will need MOTd prior to registration but we will complete all the Uk paperwork for the new owner to register it. Very solid old car

 

Body - MK3 Escort shell with two bolt strut tops and long rear roof gutters. Original inner wings, floors, crossmember, battery tray, boot floor. Very solid old car. Paintwork is perfectly presentable but not show standard. Being an African built car it has the spats front and rear on the arch lips. Few minor scratches and scuffs but nothing major. Sunroof slides and tilts as it should.

 

Interior - Good clean tidy seats, door cards, carpet and headlining. Dash looks to have had a some sort of repair in the past but no obvious cracks. Steering wheel is good. Gearknob a bit scruffy

 

Mechanics - Good quiet 1600 cvh and 5 speed box. Starts runs and drives and was still in use prior to export. As with any old car will need a checkover before use. 

 

Wheels - 14" 7 Spoke alloys

 

Decent old car with a little room for improovement. Super solid shell though. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath.
