We took a deposit on this some time ago pending the UK reg arriving. The potential buyer cannot go through with it as he is having some health issues we are told. Apologies to anyone we told this was sold but its available again.

1980 Ford Transit MK2 which has recently been purchased and imported from Malta. The last owner had this vehicle 40 years. Its a really solid example but has been used. All the import duty has been paid and its now UK registered and the V5 is here. It was in the Uk for a short time before it went to Malta.

Body - MK2 Transit LWB twin wheel body. Extremely solid and original underneath. Doesnt look to have been welded and has definitely benefited from the Maltese climate. The inside of the van , underbonnet and door checks are all the base grey colour they painted themm back then. The outside is blue. Paintwork is perfectly useable but has picked up a few scratches, minor scuffs and touch ups over the years. There is one rust bubble on the bottom of the passenger side door and one very minor repair needed underneath the passenger step. If the buyer pays the asking price we will carry out the small repair. overall a really solid survivor. Roofrack will come with it.

Mechanics - Trusty 2.0 Pinto which starts and runs with no fuss. Bit of a minor flatspot when cold. Carb may need adjusted to our climate. Good 4 speed gearbox, clutch , brakes. starts runs and drives and was still in use prior to export.

Interior - All pretty standard. drivers seat has been changed. Double seat is original , has a few marks and splitting a bit on the stitching. Good door cards. It has a bulkhead fitted. Rear floor is plylined and sides are strapped if you want to put racking in.

Wheels - Standard twin wheel rims with very good tyres all round.This is a really original solid old van which has survived due to being in a nice warm climate. You are welcome to come and see the van.
