Here we have a cracking little garage find. Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 GL with 39000 Miles, 2 Owners with the last owner having owned it since it was 6 months old. The car has not been on the road since about 2000 and has been dry stored in a garage. The car was first registered at Watsons of Airdrie on 01/01/1981. It was a company owned vehicle who only kept it six months. The owner we got it from bought it in July 1981 and has had it since. It was used regularly up until about 1993, then seems to have been used briefly in about 2000. Since then its been tucked away. We have got the vehicle up and running but it will need recommisioned. We have the new and old style V5s, all old MOTs and tax discs from 83 to 93.

Body - Ziebarted from new which has undoubtedly worked as underneath is spot on. The boot floor, and inner wings are original and solid. It looks like all original panels. The main structure is absolutely solid but the bodywork will need a little attention. There are minor bubbles on door bottoms, bubbling on tops of both wings and on offside drivers wing round the arch. Where the lower front panel meets the wings on both sides is rusty as well. It had an aftermarket sunroof fitted in the 80s which doesnt leak as I just washed it and it was fine. Really very original old survivor car.

Mechanics - We turned the car over by hand, then cranked it over with the coil disconnected to get the oil pressure up. With a bit of fresh petrol it fired into life and I have driven it around the industrial estate. It will need fully recommissioned but currently starts runs and drives, brakes and clutch work. Engine sound spot on.

Interior - All standard and in very good order as you would expect with the low mileage. Steering wheel, pedal rubbers and general condition all back up the mileage. As original as you will ever find inside

Wheels - Original rostyle type wheels with chrome trim rings and 165 / 80 /13 tyres which will need replaced as they are too old.
