Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. Imported from South Africa about 4 years ago and recently came back in to us. Solid car which is on the button and has been regularly used over the summer. Tidy solid car but not perfect.

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors. Boot wells have been repaired in the past. Tunnel has been enlarged at some point and bulkhead lip trimmed back in the middle. Looks like its had a bigger engine at some point in its life. Overall not a bad shell. Paintwork is very nice. Good quarter bumpers, spotlights, colour coded front spoiler. Rear boot spoiler fitted

Mechanics - Good standard 1600 crossflow Starts runs and drives. 4 speed box still fitted. New TCAS, Track Rod Ends Runs and drives Ok. Wopuld benefit from tappets being reset, and some decent sound deadening under the carpet.

Interior - Seats are original sport and quite rare in black. They are in good order. Good headlining and dashtop. Door cards are aftermarket and bnot quite right looking

Wheels - RS / Laser style alloys with good 175 / 60 / 13 tyres. Would benefit from a polsihed set I think.
