1979 Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. Imported from South Africa in 2022. This one is a very solid car which appears to very very original underneath. We have the V5 here and a history file with receipts for money spent over the last 2 years. This is the cars original colour which is an African colour called Jewel Blue. You are unlikely to see another one this colour

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors. Very good underneath. Its had a minor repair in each boot well otherwise no signs of any nasty patches or welding. Paintwork is nice, with a few imperfections but overall very ptresentable. Panel gaps are all good. Really good looking straight old car. Boot spoiler fitted. good quarter bumpers.

Mechanics - Good original 1600 crossflow with original 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. Recents parts replaced are electronic distributor, engine mounts, fuel pump, alternator, starter, plugs, leads, 2" Sportex Exhaust system incl manifold, radiator and hoses, thermostat, willwood 4 pot vented disc kit, crossmember, tcas, NOS struts, rear gaz adjustables,front polybushes, door seals, window channel seals, boot seal, carpet, front seats rebuilt with foam etc.

Interior - Rare black interior in good condition. Original seats, door cards, headlining, Everything is in good order. Minor crack on dash top

Wheels - Refurbed 4 spoke alloys with 175/70/13 tyres which have done about two miles.
